COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
Updated 6 April, 2020
At Adelaide Entertainment Centre, the health and wellbeing of our guests and team members remains our top priority. We are continuing to actively monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 and are following the advice and guidelines issued by SA Health, the Australian Department of Health and the World Health Organisation.
This includes the South Australian Government’s ban on non-essential indoor and outdoor mass gatherings for groups of more than 10 people (with no more than one person per four square metres) until further notice.
We recognise that COVID-19 remains a developing situation across our country and will continue to share updates here as they become available.
Supporting the South Australian Community during COVID-19
During these unprecedented times, Adelaide Venue Management—operators of the Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Coopers Stadium and AVMCatering—is pleased to lend a helping hand to community catering organisations in South Australia as demand for their services soars.
This initiative involves repurposing our venues, specifically our commercial kitchens, to make healthy and nutritious meals for organisations including Meals on Wheels SA, enabling them to continue delivering food for our State’s most vulnerable, while also providing important work to keep our full-time staff engaged.
Commencing this month (April, 2020), AVM will provide up to 18,000 three-course meals each week to Meals on Wheels SA to help meet their increased demand. Foodbank SA is a supporting partner in this initiative, using their refrigerated vehicles to collect meals from our kitchens and deliver to Meals on Wheels SA’s main distribution points. In addition, we are also pleased to also assist Multiple Birth SA in providing ready-made, nourishing, family-friendly meals to eligible clients. (Learn more)
